OBJECTIVES:

Be able to identify your skills and prepare an effective pitch to convince employers through job search documents, phone contact, or during a job interview.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

By the end of this workshop, job seekers will have:

• Understood the terms: skills, knowledge, know-how, and soft skills.
• Identified their skills from a recruiter’s perspective.
• Learned about the three tools for gathering job and career information: the ROME (Occupational and Job Repository), analyzing job postings, and informational interviews.
